We offer counseling and psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, adults, as well as marriage and family counseling. For children under the age of twelve, the choice of therapy is play therapy. I see children for play therapy as young as two years old. I have a fully-equipped play therapy room. Play therapy will benefit children who are experiencing things such as: behavior problems, social anxiety/fear, depression, ADHD, social skills problems, aggression, divorce, grief/loss, adjustment problems, and physical/sexual abuse. If you are interested in more information on play therapy you can visit www.a4pt.org .
Some of the problems seen in adolescents are the same as the ones seen in younger children. However, the problems may be manifested in a different way. In addition, truancy, low self-esteem, conduct disorder, peer pressure, bipolar disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder are also very prevalent in my adolescent clients.
The adults I work with are generally coming in for help with: marital/relationship issues, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, work issues, stress, generalized anxiety disorder, parenting issues, grief/loss, job burn out, decision making, and transitional issues.
